Our Mission

The word "shatyr" means a big tent that is easy to carry, break and shoot out of necessity. Felt tents and yurts have been traditionally used in Central Asian semi-nomadic culture.

 

Central Asian hand-made goods, jewelry, souvenirs, and toys are made of traditional felt, wool, silk, cotton, and silver by professional masters.

 

Traditional goods have gained a contemporary look that blends harmoniously with modern design and looks stylish, elegant, and comfortable.  

 

Shatyr Gallery has an online gallery/gift shop that has the mission to introduce Central Asian traditional folk art, and crafts to the worldwide audience.
